KALISPELL BLUES ROCK BAND WILL OPEN FOR INTERNATIONAL BLUES RECORDING LEGEND ROBIN TROWER IN SPOKANE MARCH 10, 2011

The Kenny James Miller Band has been chosen to peform prior to International Blues Legend Robin Trower at The Knitting Factory March 10, 2011 in Spokane Washington.  A dream will be realized that night by the guitar player of the band.

Kalispell, MT January 27, 2011 -  A Kalispell Blues Rock Band has been chosen to be the band to open for International Recording Artist and Blues Legend, Robin Trower.  This is a monumental achievement for one of the band members, fulfilling a life-long dream.  And can best be described below.

Imagine yourself as a musician who is inspired by one of the icons in the style of music you see yourself playing on a concert stage some day when you're good enough.

For Ken Sederdahl, guitar player of Kenny James Miller Band,,it was Robin Trower, a man with style, personality and feeling when he played, noting the expressions that would surface on his face and body movements that made you believe you weren' t just hearing a master at this craft, you were experiencing his soul.  You would work at perfectly flying along the neck of your guitar during your riffs, then deliberately land on that perfect note and sustain it in perfect rhythm, and keep sustaining it, using your guitar effects and internal "feel" to add richness, flavor, buzz, pitch and punch that would differentiate you from the rest.  Jimi Hendricks said it best: "The blues are easy to play... but hard to "feel."

This is the kind of inspiration Robin Trower set on Ken Sederdahl as he practiced over the years.  Needless to say, Ken dreamed about playing "someday" on the same stage with Robin.... Well, that someday will be Thursday Night, March 10th 2011.

The Kenny James Miller Band will be opening for Robin Trower at The Knitting Factory in Spokane, Washington.

Kenny James Miller Band opens for Robin Trower

Lively Times: Published: January 27, 2011

Kalispell blues guitarist Ken Sederdahl has long

been a fan of bluesman Robin Trower a man with

style, personality and feeling when he played. As

he practiced over the years, Sederdahl dreamed of

someday playing on the same stage as Trower.

That someday will be Thursday, March 10, when

the Kenny James Miller Band opens for Trower at

        the Knitting Factory in Spokane.

According to Sederdahl, the famed British guitarist

has long been his model for how to play the

blues. I'd note the expressions that would surface

on his face and body movements that made you

believe you weren't just hearing a master at this

craft, you were experiencing his soul.

Trower, who first rose to fame in the 60s during a

stint with Procol Harum, has inspired Sederdahl to

work at perfectly flying along the neck of your

guitar during your riffs, then land on that perfect

note and sustain it in perfect rhythm, and keep

sustaining it, using your guitar effects and internal

'feel' to add richness, flavor, buzz, pitch and

punch that would differentiate you from the rest.

Sederdahl and his bandmates, drummer Mark

Miller and bassist, will get an opportunity to show

off those licks March 10 when they open for

Trower. Tickets are $24; to order online, go to

                    http://www.spknittingfactory.com

From the critics:

          OUTPOST Weekly Newspaper,
        Spokane, WA

...the Kenny James Miller Band, on tour
from Kalispell, Montana took no prisoners
while rocking the house at Bluz at the Bend.
Ken Sederdahl on guitar and vocals, Jimmy
Groom on bass and vocals and Mark Miller
on drums and vocals are SUPER nice guys,
and they played some seriously hard
          -driving, mostly original blues-influenced
rock for a very appreciative audience. I
          received many unsolicited comments
regarding how GOOD this band sounded!
The songs on their new CD "Revelator"
didn't hit me quite as hard as their live
music did, but that just makes it more
important to catch their show when you
          can...
