"...play very well together...music is unpretentious & well done...definitely a superior blues rock band...lots to be proud of..."

Mark was born in Portland, Oregon and moved to Montana when he was 9 yrs old.  He lived in Heron, MT and after high school moved to Kalispell.

There was always music in his home.  His mother sings and plays piano, his father plays guitar and his older brothers play instruments as well.  When the family gathered for holidays music filled the air, from Grandpa on banjo to the littlest cousins pickin guitars and singing.  Mark started playing bass at 9 and joined his first band at 15.  He taught himself bass from listening to Rush and Led Zepplin!

Early in his music career he traveled with the local Kalispell band, Notorious, to Taipei, Taiwan.  Mark played in Taipei for 4 months and loved this unique experience.  While in Taiwan, he was able to travel to Hong Kong and Tokyo.  He has since played in various local bands and has been fortunate to play with some of Flathead's most talented musicians.

Mark is very proud of his 19yr old son, Dylan, who he taught to play the bass and who is quickly catching up to "ole" Dad.  Dylan tries hard to stay hot on Dad's heels, yet "ole" Dad always seems to pull out new tricks!

Recently, he has enjoyed playing with the funk band, 20 Grand, and the outlaw bluegrass band, Moonshine Mountain.

Mark has had the privilege to open for top bands like, Blue Oyster Cult, Bad Company, Jefferson Starship and Foghat.

Mark has experience in a variety of different music styles and is very excited to bring this combination, along with his 6-String Bass, and a lot of funky flavor to the Kenny James Miller Band!
